What would Christian and Anastasia’s wedding look and feel like? This is the question Ashley Franz, with Twisted Lens Photography and I discussed one night around the campfire in our neighborhood. The beauty of books, is they let you conjure up images in your mind of how things would look. They encourage creativity and fantasy. Before we knew it, we were discussing her shoes and what her hair would look like. The book inspired us to physically create the vision of their wedding day.

Away we went. Ashley had a beautiful, industrial space in mind. I took the space and ran with it. We built raw wood shelving to anchor to the exposed brick wall. This would give the shoot the raw feel that the book so frequently portrays. But, naturally there would be romance and elegance. Clean, sharp, modern lines with soft glowing candles. Bright, vivid, passion evoking flowers next to a soft, sweet lace dress. And, of course, that tie…had to have it.
