Anne + Rob

I couldn’t have been more honored to be asked by a former classmate to plan her January wedding in the Bahamas. Not only because it was in a beautiful tropical location, but because it meant that someone I knew, trusted me with the logistics and details from several hundred miles away. Anne was in Florida, Rob was in England and I was in Nebraska. With lots of Skype calls and emails, I was able to successfully help them have the day of their dreams at a beautiful resort. Since Anne and Rob jump out of planes for a living (my description, not theirs), many of their friends had airplane connections and were able to attend the wedding. Therefore, it was a little larger than normal for a destination wedding. One of my most favorite moments ever, was when Anne’s best friend Allison surprised her by attending the wedding. Allison had contacted me a week in advance to let me know she was able to grab a flight to the Bahamas and planned on attending the wedding. Allison and I decided to keep this a secret from Anne. So with stealth-like abilities, we made a plan for Allison to casually “run into” Anne while she was at the pool. Our plan was almost ruined when Anne and Rob were in the lobby and Allison had arrived to check-in. I quickly asked the two of them to show me where the envisioned their first look so I could get them out of there fast. All of the stress and logistics paid off when Anne saw her friend at the pool. She literally collapsed with laughter and tears as Allison hugged her. It was so cool!!!
