During our intake process, Nicole and Mark mentioned how much their family loved the movie “The Godfather.” At one point, Nicole’s face lit up and she said “I’ve always dreamed of my wedding being similar to the wedding scene in that movie.” The scene's essence was about family, laughter, singing, and togetherness. All of these traits are timeless and also happen to be featured in both the Greek and Lebanese cultures of their families.

We designed the floor plan to include large, long family tables reminiscent of the ones in her favorite movie. Nicole and Mark wanted to do mini bottles of olive oil to not only pay homage to Nicole’s Greek culture but a nod to the movie as well. Greek knot napkin rings were used for each napkin and every place setting had the traditional Koufeta wrapped in white tulle with a bow.

Along with their preferred sense of style “timeless and classic” we found a bond over giant wedding cakes. “The bigger the better” was Nicole’s statement. A big cake for a big wedding. I was in heaven. Their cake had 10 tiers of flowers and cake and stood around 4.5 feet tall. It was absolutely perfect.

Their reception also featured a Labanese Zaffe which started at the entrance of the ballroom, complete with drummers and ended on the dance floor where every guest gathered around the couple and danced for fifteen minutes. It was the most energetic way to begin a reception. It is fair to say both families knew how to start a party and keep it going all evening long.

I had the most wonderful experience with Carrie and her team, planning my wedding. Carrie went above and beyond to put together an amazing event, with many hours of planning and late-night phone calls along the way. I highly recommend working with her.”
