Three words I needed to learn when working with Ashley and Gregg: Sense of Humor. These two taught me that I take myself way too seriously. They literally tore my professionalism walls down and after six months of working with them; I was able to start cracking jokes every five minutes like they did. While I had fun, it was very important to make sure the logistics of their Cayman Island wedding were minded and executed flawlessly. Planning a destination wedding for 45 guests has a lot of moving parts. I worked closely with Ashley to make sure all the parts would stream together including a welcome reception, boat tour to Stingray City, ceremony and sunset sail reception. It is VERY COOL to travel outside of the country to plan a wedding. But, it isn’t about playing on the beach, it’s about execution of logistics (with sand under your feet instead of concrete). Two weeks after their wedding in the Caymans, I had the good fortune to plan their New Year’s Eve celebration for friends and family that couldn’t make the trek to the Caymans.
